
Taekwondo WT competitions have concluded at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The competition was marked not only by high competition, but also by fights that fully demonstrated the athletes' physical preparedness and willpower. In particular, the participation of the Uzbekistan national team earned widespread recognition.
In this tournament, our taekwondo athletes demonstrated in practice how much they have grown and worked. Our athletes won 3 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals, surpassing all their opponents in the overall team standings and taking first place. This result testifies to the steady development of the Uzbek taekwondo school and its ability to speak its mind in every competition.
Gold medalists:
- Ozoda Sobirjonova (70 kg) demonstrated a consistent and experienced performance, leaving no chance for opponents in her weight class.
- Diyorbek Tukhliboev (67 kg) maintained his high level in the final with excellent preparation and fast technique.
- Marat Mavlonov (+82 kg) - despite the competition in the heavyweight category, with his self-confidence and strong will, he won the championship.
Silver medalists:
- Najmiddin Kasimkhodzhiev (74 kg) - showed his strength in all matches until the final, but luck wasn't enough in the decisive match.
- Svetlana Osipova (+70 kg) - performed at a high level as an experienced athlete and took a worthy second place.
Bronze medalists:
- Jahongir Khudoyberdiyev (54 kg) - in a heavily competitive weight category, he won a bronze medal with moderate and precise movements.
- Diyora Azizova (63 kg) proved once again that she is a unique taekwondo athlete with her preparedness and perseverance.

This victory of the Uzbekistan national team will undoubtedly remain in history as another bright page in the country's sports life. This success in Riyadh will serve as a driving force for new heights in subsequent major competitions. And the fans expect even greater victories from the athletes, because our taekwondo athletes fight with pride every time they enter the arena.
