Barbarez: Everything Is Painful

The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team drew 1–1 against Austria and missed the opportunity to qualify directly for the World Cup. Following the match, the national team's head coach, Sergej Barbarez, shared his thoughts.

"We lacked a bit of luck. It's painful, and it was heartbreaking to see the players in the locker room in such a somber state, but life goes on.

Of course, we will regroup and prepare for the playoffs taking place in March," the coach said in an interview with *Vijesti.me*. Journalists asked Barbarez about his preferences for their playoff opponent.

"It doesn’t matter who we face. My job is to motivate the players, recreate the atmosphere we had before, and strive to win these matches," he added.

Austria secured first place with 19 points, while Bosnia and Herzegovina finished second with 17 points.
