Arsenal Terminates Contract with Rwanda

Representatives of the London-based football club "Arsenal" have confirmed to "Mundo Deportivo" that their contract with Rwanda will be terminated next summer. The English club has been promoting Rwandan tourism on their shirt sleeves and stadium since 2018.

For this advertising campaign, Rwanda has been paying 12 million euros annually. However, Arsenal fans have strongly criticized this partnership due to restrictions on freedoms in Rwanda, including the repression of opposition figures.
