Semyonov Evaluates Russia National Team

Former central defender of the Russian national team, Andrey Semyonov, shared his thoughts on the team's participation in friendly matches in 2025. "The opponents were not the strongest, but nevertheless, good games were held against Iran, Chile, and other teams.

It is still difficult to give a complete assessment, but we are calmly and steadily continuing our work," Semyonov said in an interview with "Sovetsky Sport." The expert expressed hope that the Russian national team would return to the international stage soon.

In 2025, the team, led by Valeri Karpin, played a total of 10 matches. Of these, they secured 6 wins, recorded 3 draws, and suffered 1 defeat.
