The head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, Sergej Barbarez, shared his thoughts on the draw results for the World Cup playoff matches. Bosnia’s opponent in the semi-final will be Wales, with the match set to take place away in March 2026.
"I think this draw is manageable. Wales is a strong team, especially at home, but we also have our strengths and confidence in our efforts.
This will be a tough match, but we will prepare well and strive to showcase our best," Barbarez said in an interview with bhfudbal.ba. "My only wish was, if we were to reach the final, to play it on our home ground.
That would be a great motivation for all of us. First, we need to accomplish a major task in Wales, and if we succeed, we'll battle for the World Cup spot at our home stadium."
The winner of the Bosnia-Wales match will face the winner of the Italy-Northern Ireland pairing in the final. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
