Upamecano Says His Future Is Not Dependent on Money

French central defender Dayot Upamecano shared his thoughts about his future at Bayern Munich and the duration of his contract. If he does not renew his contract with the Munich club, he would become a free agent next summer.

"My future is not dependent on money. I am in constant communication with Max Eberl and Christoph Freund.

I am happy at Bayern, I am having a good season, and I am doing everything I can for the success of my team. We’ll see what happens in the future," Upamecano said in an interview with Bayern & Germany.

The 27-year-old player has attracted interest from Real Madrid, Liverpool, and other major European clubs. On Saturday, Bayern defeated Freiburg 6–2 at home, and Upamecano scored a goal in that match.
