Uruguayan footballer Federico Viñas, currently playing on loan for Spanish club "Oviedo," shared his thoughts on the officiating in the match against "Rayo Vallecano." The La Liga Matchday 13 encounter ended in a 0–0 draw.
In the first half, "Rayo Vallecano" defender Nöbel Mendy hit Viñas on the side of his knee. The referee did not consider the incident a foul and refrained from showing a card.
"In my opinion, this was clearly a red card. I know the defender didn’t intentionally try to injure me; he wanted to pass the ball.
But that strike? It hit me hard.
From my perspective, this deserves a sending-off," Viñas said. After the match, the footballer had to receive several stitches.
Following this game, "Oviedo" remains at the bottom of the standings with 9 points. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
