The London club "Arsenal" is being called the absolute favorite to win the gold medals of the championship in the current season of the English Premier League. This was confirmed by analytical calculations performed by the modern supercomputer of the publication "Opta".
"City's" probability is five times lower
The supercomputer, expressing very great confidence in the Londoners' championship, assessed this indicator at 76.1 percent. At the same time, the probability of "Manchester City," considered the hegemon of recent years, becoming champion is recorded around 14.1 percent — five times lower. This difference is considered an absolutely unexpected situation for the entire football community.
The hopes of the remaining teams for first place were assessed very low: "Chelsea" (3.46%), "Liverpool" (2.42%), "Aston Villa" (1.57%), and "Crystal Palace" (1.17%).
Arteta's disciples — table leaders
Such high predictions are inseparably linked to the current success of Mikel Arteta's disciples. As of the end of 12 rounds, "Arsenal," having collected 29 points, is firmly holding the first position in the competition table. They are being pursued, respectively, by the "aristocrats" (23 points) in second place and the "citizens" (22 points) in third place. "The Gunners" are currently significantly ahead of their main rivals, and the supercomputer rightly assessed their superiority.
