Neuer's Error Leads to Arsenal's Open Goal

Bayern Munich visited Arsenal in London and suffered a 1-3 defeat. The third goal of the match was scored by Gabriel Martinelli into an empty net.

Bayern's goalkeeper Manuel Neuer had come far out of the penalty box to provide cover for his defenders but made a mistake. Neuer commented on the incident.

"When you're losing, you sometimes have to take a bit of a risk. I saw that Martinelli was getting past Kimmich, and I realized that a one-on-one situation might occur.

I tried to act in advance, but he controlled the ball well. The first touch was decisive — after that, he got past me.

I understood it was a big risk," Neuer said in an interview with Goal.com. This defeat marked Bayern's first loss of the season.
