The sixth international tournament "Fajr Cup," traditionally held in Tehran, Iran, has concluded. This prestigious competition has once again become a fortress of fierce competition and high-level mastery among Central Asian athletes.
Members of the Uzbekistan national team also worthily participated in the competition and repeatedly demonstrated their skills. In total, our athletes won 15 medals - 5 gold, 8 silver, and 2 bronze - and took the honorable third place in the overall team standings. This result is assessed as another stable step of the national team at the world level.
Medal winners' results:
- 65 kg - Diyorbek Odilov: 3 silver medals
- 71 kg - Husinboy Matrasulov: 3 silver medals.
- 79 kg - Hayitboy Abdushukurov: 1 gold, 2 bronze
- 88 kg - Bekzod Gofurjonov: 1 gold, 2 silver
- 94 kg - Mukhammadkodir Toshtemirov: 3 gold medals
Behind every athlete's victory lies hard work, discipline, and constant enthusiasm. The role of the national team's coaches, Jurabek Zairov and Abror Tojimirzayev, deserves special recognition. They chose the necessary tactics during the competition, helping the athletes to maintain mental and technical stability.
At the end of the tournament, the delegation of Uzbekistan was awarded special trophies. This is not only a victory, but also a vivid confirmation of the strengthening of our guys in the international arena.
Uzbek weightlifters once again demonstrated: with work, will, and effort, you can conquer any peak. We wish our athletes good luck and new achievements in future competitions.
