The IWF Youth World Championships in Ismailia, Egypt, have concluded. On the final day, the Uzbekistan national team achieved another joyful result. Competing in the +110 kg super-heavyweight category, our compatriot Omadillo Olimov secured two bronze medals.

Omadillo recorded a result of 169 kg in the snatch, finishing in fourth place. Although he was one step away from the podium in this discipline, he performed much more confidently in the subsequent exercises.

In the clean and jerk, Olimov lifted 219 kg to earn a bronze medal. Furthermore, he secured another bronze with a total of 388 kg. This marks a significant achievement for our young athlete on the world stage.

Competition in the heavyweight category is always fierce. Strength alone is not enough here. Technique, mental stability, patience until the final attempt, and proper energy management are also decisive. Omadillo Olimov was able to demonstrate exactly these qualities.

Thus, the young Uzbek weightlifters finished the World Championships with 1 silver and 3 bronze medals. This result shows that our youth national team is developing talented athletes ready for serious international competition.

Such competitions serve as a great school of experience for athletes. At the World Championships, every kilogram, every attempt, and every decision can determine the fate of a medal. Olimov's two bronzes mean we can expect even greater results from him in the future.

The Uzbek weightlifting school has established its place on the international stage over the years. Such results among the youth show that a solid reserve is being formed for the senior national team.

Most importantly, our athletes did not leave the World Championships empty-handed. This is the result of hard work, preparation, and willpower. Now the main task is to maintain this momentum, learn from mistakes, and reach even higher heights in future competitions.
