The decisive match between Fayzullayev and Shomurodov
The last round of the Turkish Super League became another bright page for Uzbek football. "Istanbul Bashakshehir," in which the leaders of our national team, Eldor Shomurodov and Abbosbek Fayzullayev, play, secured a convincing 3:1 victory over "Kasimpasha" on the road. However, the impact of this match wasn't limited to just one result - the match directly affected the opponent's coach's fate.
Abbosbek Fayzullayev, who was distinguished by sharp movements at the beginning of the game, showed his unique skill again despite recovering from an injury. He opened the scoring with a precise free-kick in the first half, giving his team a psychological advantage. His shot was not only a goal but also a key turning point for Bashakshehir on their way to victory.
In the final minutes of the match, the opponent's pressure increased. "Istanbul" was spending a lot of energy in defense in a situation where one person was short. At such a difficult time, Eldor Shomurodov came on stage. He logically completed the fast attack, scoring his team's third goal and completely defeating the opponent. This goal was impressive enough to change the whole point of the game and the situation.
Head coach Nuri Shahin especially appreciated the two Uzbek legionnaires and noted their enormous contribution to the game. However, this brilliant match proved to be the last for Kasympasha's coach, Shota Arveladze.
