The head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, Fabio Cannavaro, shared his thoughts with the fans after the announcement of the 2026 World Cup draw. According to him, there are no weak opponents in the World Cup, and the possibility of facing each team was known beforehand.
Kannavaro praised the team's group and emphasized that matches against teams like Portugal and Colombia would be a great experience and a great stage for the players.
"This is the World Cup. Any opponent can compete in such a competition. Both Portugal and Colombia have their own history, style, and strong performers. For us, these games will be an incomparable experience, a wonderful moment," Cannavaro said.
In his opinion, the draw should be viewed not with excessive anxiety, but with confidence and optimism:
"It is a great honor that we are participating in the World Cup. Anything can happen at the draw - it's football. We are very happy to be here, to have the opportunity to play under the flag of Uzbekistan."
At the end of his speech, the experienced coach asked to continue supporting the players and added that the team will go to the competition with full preparation.
