As the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches, comprehensive information about all infrastructure for participating teams in the United States—training grounds, fitness centers, hotels, and logistics hubs—is being provided.
In this regard, specialists from Uzbekistan's delegation today inspected a specially designated base in Austin. Delegation members thoroughly reviewed the facilities, including stadiums, accommodations, recovery, and preparation zones. Additionally, options in San Antonio and Houston are being studied, with plans to discuss the final technical evaluations.
A total of 61 locations have been selected by FIFA, which will serve as accommodation and training facilities for the participating teams. These sites are allocated based on the geographical location of match venues, travel distances, and recovery opportunities.
During the group stage, teams will travel to the cities hosting their matches via special charter flights and return to their main bases after the games. This system is designed to minimize player fatigue and maximize their recovery.
For reference, the Uzbekistan national team is participating in the FIFA World Cup for the first time and is placed in Group "K." In this group, Uzbekistan will face Portugal, Colombia, and the winner of the playoff—either the Republic of Congo, Jamaica, or New Caledonia.
The Uzbekistan delegation's visit to the United States is ongoing, and the most suitable base for the national team is expected to be selected.
