Relations Between Safonov and Zabarniy Discussed

Vitaliy Kafanov, the goalkeeping coach for the Russian national team, commented on the relationship between Matvey Safonov and Ilya Zabarnyi. On Wednesday, the Russian goalkeeper and the Ukrainian defender shared the field for the first time as part of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

"There is a normal professional relationship between Safonov and Zabarnyi. This is quite routine because they are working together on the same task," Kafanov told the publication Metaratings.

After Luka Chevalier sustained an injury, Matvey Safonov appeared in two matches for PSG, during which he kept a clean sheet. In these games, the Parisians defeated "Rennes" with a 5-0 scoreline in Ligue 1 and played to a 0-0 draw with "Athletic" in the Champions League.
