Leading Georgian Midfielder to Continue Career in Uzbekistan

Georgia's leading midfielder to continue his career in Uzbekistan

One of the most consistent and effective midfielders of the past season in Georgian football, Aleksandre Andronikashvili, is set to spend the next season in the Uzbekistan championship. The 26-year-old player has officially signed a contract with the “Andijon” club and has decided to continue his career in the Super League.

According to reports, Andronikashvili, who showcased impressive performances last season with “Dilagori,” was recognized as one of the best central midfielders in the Georgian league. Journalist Narzulla Saydullayev reported on his move to Uzbekistan.

Interestingly, this transfer was not a random decision. Earlier, it was reported that the head coach of “Andijon” had personally attended the Georgian Cup final to closely observe Andronikashvili’s performance. This indicates that the player had been on the scouting list for an extended period.

Looking at the statistics, Aleksandre participated in a total of 42 matches across all competitions this season, registering 12 goals and 4 assists. Effective both in central play and joining the attack, the midfielder is expected to become a significant asset for “Andijon.”

In short, “Andijon” fans now have a quality and experienced foreign player ahead of the new season. The spotlight is now on how he will shine in the Super League.
