AS Roma's sporting director, Frederic Massaro, has cautioned against making hasty conclusions regarding the future of Irish striker Evan Ferguson. Ferguson is currently playing on loan for the "Wolves" from England's Brighton & Hove Albion.
Massaro emphasized that it is too early to discuss a full transfer of the player at this stage. In the most recent Europa League match, Ferguson's two goals secured a victory for Roma against Scotland's Celtic.
"It is far too early to talk about this matter. We are pleased with Evan's performance; he is returning to the level we know he is capable of," Massaro was quoted as saying by Sky Sport.
Ferguson's loan contract is set to conclude on June 30, 2026. The 21-year-old striker's transfer value is estimated at €25 million.
During the 2025/2026 season, the Irish forward has appeared in 15 matches, scoring three goals and providing one assist. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
