Didier Deschamps Votes Dembélé First in The Best Awards


The head coach of the French national team, Didier Deschamps, cast his vote for players from his own team in the “Player of the Year” category. On Tuesday, during The Best awards ceremony, the prize was claimed by Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé.

According to Madrid Zone, Deschamps, participating in the voting as the "Les Bleus" coach, placed Dembélé in first place. In his ranking, second place was taken by Real Madrid player Kylian Mbappé.

The top three was rounded off by Paris Saint-Germain member and Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi. Didier Deschamps has been managing the French national team since 2012.

The coach plans to step down from his position after the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
