Arrascaeta Praises Safonov as an Excellent Goalkeeper

Flamengo midfielder and Uruguay national team player Giorgian de Arrascaeta praised the performance of Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Matvey Safonov. The Brazilian club's player specifically highlighted Safonov's save of four penalty kicks during the FIFA Intercontinental Cup final.

"Their goalkeeper played brilliantly. We gave it our all, but luck was simply not on our side today," Arrascaeta said.

His comments were shared by the Paris club's press service. Arrascaeta noted that the Flamengo players had anticipated a tough match but admitted that by the end of the game, they were utterly exhausted.

The regular time of the match ended in a 1-1 draw. In the penalty shootout, Safonov secured victory and the trophy for PSG.
