Mostovoy: Safonov Enjoying Life Playing for PSG

Former well-known footballer Aleksandr Mostovoy praised Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) goalkeeper Matvey Safonov’s performance in the match against Flamengo. In the post-match penalty shootout, Safonov made several decisive saves, securing victory and a trophy for his team.

Mostovoy stated that he was highly impressed by the goalkeeper's game and was not surprised by Safonov’s growth. The former national team player emphasized that he recognized Safonov’s potential to become a top-level footballer from the early days of his career at Krasnodar.

"Matvey, well done, he made some brilliant saves and won the trophy for his club. I had said at the beginning of his career at Krasnodar that with time, he would develop into a top-level footballer.

He is playing in a very big club and enjoying life there," Mostovoy was quoted as saying by RB Sport. This season, the 26-year-old goalkeeper has appeared in four matches for PSG, conceding three goals.
