Davide Ancelotti to Join Rayo Vallecano Coaching Staff

Davide Ancelotti has stepped down from his position as head coach of Brazil’s «Botafogo» club. The 36-year-old specialist joined the team in July, marking his first independent experience as a head coach.

Recently, it became known that the Italian coach decided not to renew his contract, and now reports are emerging that he is attracting interest from Europe. According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Ancelotti Jr. is being considered by Spanish club «Rayo Vallecano.»

At present, it has not been clarified what specific role he may take on at the Madrid-based club. «Rayo Vallecano» is currently managed by Inigo Perez.

The team is in 13th place in the La Liga standings and has directly advanced to the Round of 16 in the UEFA Europa Conference League based on the overall stage results. Davide Ancelotti previously worked on the coaching staff of his father, Carlo Ancelotti, including serving as an assistant at Madrid’s «Real» club.
