Kavazashvili Says Safonov's Injury Could Impact Psychology

Former goalkeeper of "Spartak," Anzor Kavazashvili, shared his thoughts on the injury sustained by "PSG" goalkeeper Matvey Safonov and its potential impact on his psychological state. The French club announced that the Russian goalkeeper has suffered a broken left arm.

Kavazashvili emphasized that the enforced break could negatively affect Matvey's psychological condition. According to him, Safonov had just started gaining playing experience and was in high spirits.

"It is unfortunate that Matvey will now be unable to play for an extended period. He was on an upward trajectory.

Now, the injury might mentally break him since he waited so long to get a chance to play," Kavazashvili was quoted as saying by "Match TV." This season, Safonov has appeared in four matches, keeping a clean sheet in two of them.
