IFFHS names Donnarumma as best goalkeeper of the year

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has announced the name of the best goalkeeper in the world at the end of the year. According to it, this prestigious award went to Gianluigi Donnarumma. The goalkeeper of the Italian national team and Manchester City was recognized by experts for his consistent and reliable play last season.

For information, Donnarumma spent last season at the French club PSG and joined the EPL giants Manchester City during the summer transfer window. In the IFFHS rating, he scored a total of 169 points, significantly ahead of his rivals.

When evaluating goalkeepers, experts took into account all matches in international and domestic competitions, decisive saves, consistency and contribution to the team. In this regard, Donnarumma's indicators were considered the highest.
