Crystal Palace, vying for a place in the Top 5, faced no trouble against the relegation-struggling Leeds United on the road. In the 38th minute, Ethan Ampadu made a long throw-in into the penalty area.
After a ricochet, the ball landed at Dominic Calvert-Lewin's feet. His first-touch shot was saved by the goalkeeper, but Calvert-Lewin converted the rebound to open the scoring — 1-0. Shortly after, Anton Stach delivered a low cross from the right wing, and the ball deflected to Pascal Struijk.
Struijk attempted a volley from about 20 meters, but the ball hit Marc Guéhi's foot and struck the post. In the 45th minute, Ampadu once again made a throw-in into the penalty area. Jakub Kiwior flicked the ball toward the goal, and Calvert-Lewin headed it accurately to double the lead — 2-0.
In the second half, during the 60th minute, Stach delivered a corner into the center. The ball reached Jayden Bogle, who headed it towards the goal. After a ricochet, the ball conveniently landed in front of Ampadu.
Ampadu struck it first-time into the right corner, widening the lead to 3-0. In added time towards the end of the match, Crystal Palace converted a penalty: Justin Devenny made a precise low shot into the left corner, while the goalkeeper dived in the opposite direction — 3-1.
However, Leeds managed to score another goal in the closing moments, restoring the dominant margin — 4-1. Following this victory, Leeds climbed to 16th place in the standings.
