Joazinho Safonov Says Flamengo Fans Do Not Like Him Much


Former Krasnodar footballer Joazinho shared his thoughts on PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov's performance in the Intercontinental Cup match against Flamengo. According to Joazinho, Flamengo fans do not hold Safonov in high regard.

He also mentioned that in Brazil, he was often asked about who Safonov is. “He performed very well in the penalty shootout.

Unfortunately, it is very saddening that he got injured,” he said. Joazinho's comments were reported by Sport-Express.

The PSG vs. Flamengo match ended in a 1:1 draw during regular time. In the penalty shootout, the Parisians were more precise, winning 2:1.

Safonov saved four penalties and was named the best player of the match.
