According to the coach, the points dropped in the final minutes of that game were a tough lesson for the team. Arteta believes that properly analysing the mistakes from that match and drawing conclusions will help the side perform much stronger in the next meeting.
“If we can channel the motivation and hunger to win in the right way, it will definitely help. We’ll review that match again — there are areas we need to improve. We lost in a very painful way, but we took the right lesson from that defeat,” Arteta said.
Arsenal currently top the Premier League table, two points clear of closest challengers Manchester City. Aston Villa, led by Unai Emery, have won 11 straight matches in all competitions and trail the Gunners by just three points in the league.
