Barcelona president Joan Laporta expressed a strong opinion regarding Real Madrid's official television channel. According to the Catalan head, Real Madrid TV usually actively addresses the issue of referees, but strangely remained silent after the latest controversial episode.
Real Madrid defeated Rayo Vallecano 2-1 last Sunday. The decisive goal was scored in the 100th minute after a controversial penalty. This episode once again raised the question in the public: "Is the decision right or not?"
Laporta, on the other hand, delivered a "response" to the opponent's media style at this very point. According to him, we are talking about a club that has a TV channel that constantly criticizes the judges' decisions, even speaking in the spirit of "the judges are harming us." But this time, according to Laporta, they weren't making their usual loud voices.
The Catalan president's opinion is this: if there really is a tendency to point out "judges' mistakes," then why weren't there any analysis, criticism, or videos after this particular match? "What will they say now?" he asked openly and urged his opponent to look at the situation objectively.
As is known, Real Madrid TV often posts footage dedicated to refereeing decisions before and after each match. Laporta's claim is simple: when the controversial decision turns in Real Madrid's favor, this "television criticism mechanism" becomes somewhat "out of order."
This statement, of course, became another interesting addition to the ancient rivalry in Spanish football. Now the most interesting thing is how Real Madrid and its TV channel will respond to this challenge: will the usual sharp analysis continue or will the "tactics of silence" continue this time as well.
