In the first friendly match of the second training camp in the UAE, Dinamo faced 10-time Russian champions Zenit. The match started at a very fast pace, and it was this intensity that quickly wrote down the unpleasant scenario for the "blue-whites."
In the 5th minute, Alexander Yerokhin opened the scoring with a precise shot. This quick goal, conceded before Dinamo's defense could fully engage in the game, decided the match's fate - the score remained unchanged until the end of the game.
Interestingly, Zenit's new signing, An Nasr striker John Duran, watched the match from the bench. So, the opponent didn't fully "unpack" the lineup, trying to test the squad more in accordance with the training camp plan.
Nevertheless, Dynamo tried to create chances in the second half and the rest of the game, even trying to increase the tempo with substitutes. However, a characteristic feature of control games is the possibility, but at the final point, accuracy and harmony are not yet fully "matured." This is the main benefit of the meeting: to see the shortcomings now and correct them before the official debates begin.
