Elite ACL. "Nasaf" earned its first point in a draw with the Iraqi club

Karshi's "Nasaf," representing Uzbekistan in the Elite Asian Champions League, played their next match against Iraq's "Al-Shorta" at the "Istiqlol" stadium in Fergana. The meeting took place in a rather intense, competitive, and cautious scenario. In the end, the teams chose the path of compromise - 1:1.
With the start of the match, the "dragons" increased their speed and increased pressure on the opponent from the very first minutes. The result didn't take long: in the 8th minute, after a pass from Sharof Muhitdinov, Murod Rahmatov opened the scoring with a precise shot. During this part of the game, Nasaf's enthusiasm, actions, and goal-oriented plan were clearly visible.
In the first half, intense fighting was observed at every point on the field. Al-Shorta quickly recovered and attempted to create dangerous situations through counterattacks. "Nasaf," in turn, while maintaining the lead in the score, tried to find the second goal. However, the game took such a turn that every mistake could be very costly.
In the second half, the visitors returned with structural changes, which significantly impacted their game. Al-Shorta began to gain more control of the ball, increased pressure, and in the 68th minute, Sharif Abdulhakim scored an equalizer for his team. Thus, the score became 1:1.
In the remaining minutes, "Nasaf" pushed forward again - the fans also waited for a goal until the end. However, they didn't capitalize on the opportunities, and the opponent managed to counter them with a disciplined defense. Despite the high activity in the final part of the match, the numbers on the scoreboard did not change.
The discipline during the game was also quite strict. Bobir Abdixoliqov, Adenis Shala, and Oybek Rustamov from Nasaf have been booked. This also showed how uncompromising the match was.
