Eldor Shomurodov also entered the top 10 ranking of European scorers

One of the authoritative sources that regularly covers European football, the footmercato.net portal, constantly monitors the statistics of scorers in the strongest championships of the continent. After the end of the next rounds, the portal prepared a new rating of strikers scoring goals in the national leagues, which included the most effective players in the championships of several countries at once.
This analysis took into account players who scored goals in the championships of Germany, England, Austria, Belgium, Scotland, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey. That is, the competition is truly "heavyweight" - every goal is valuable, every minute is important.
Kane leads, Mbappe is in hot pursuit
The top spot in the ranking is occupied by Bayern's English striker Harry Kane. He scored a brace in the match against Hoffenheim, making a significant contribution to his team's 5-1 victory. The experienced striker currently has 24 goals in 21 games - it's not easy to stop at such a pace.
Kylian Mbappe has not lost his top form either. The Real Madrid player, who once again scored against Valencia in the next round of the Spanish championship, has scored 23 goals in 22 games and is closely following Kane. If the fight for the Golden Boot continues in this vein, it will definitely be a "championship of nerves" at the end of the season.
The best news for Uzbek fans is Shomurodov!
The most pleasant thing for Uzbek football fans is that our legionnaire Eldor Shomurodov has also entered the top 10 of the European leagues' top scorers. He is consistently playing in the Turkish Super League for Istanbul Basaksehir, systematically adding goals.
The top ten of the rating presented by Footmercato were as follows:
1. Harry Kane (32 years old / Bayern Munich / England) - 24 goals in 21 games (1682 minutes)
2. Kylian Mbappe (27 years old / Real Madrid / France) - 23 goals in 22 games (1938 minutes)
3. Erling Haaland (25 years old / Manchester City / Norway) - 21 goals in 25 games (2104 minutes)
4. Vangelis Pavlidis (27 years old / Benfica / Greece) - 19 goals in 21 games (1773 minutes)
5. Ayase Ueda (27 years old / Feyenoord / Japan) - 18 goals in 20 games (1622 minutes)
6. Luis Suarez (28 years old / Sporting / Colombia) - 18 goals in 20 games (1696 minutes)
7. Igor Thiago (24 years old / Brentford / Brazil) - 17 goals in 25 games (2117 minutes)
8. Paul Onuachu (31 years old / Trabzonspor / Nigeria) - 15 goals in 18 games (1527 minutes)
9. Yanis Begraoui (24 years old / Estoril / Morocco) - 15 goals in 21 games (1597 minutes)
10. Eldor Shomurodov (30 years old / Istanbul Basaksehir / Uzbekistan) - 15 goals in 21 games (1856 minutes)
It is worth noting that there are also very big names in the ranks after Shomurodov: Vedat Muriki ("Mallorca"), Lautaro Martinez ("Inter"), Mason Greenwood ("Marseille"), Luis Diaz ("Bayern"), Jesus Andres Ramirez Diaz ("Nacional"), Samu Agekhova ("Porto"), Ayoub El Kaabi ("Olympiacos") and Tawanda Maswanhise (Motherwell) are on the list.
Quick adaptation in Turkey after Italy
It is worth noting that Eldor Shomurodov moved to Istanbul Basaksehir after almost five years of playing in the Italian championship. The Turkish Super League is also a competition that is getting stronger every day - but our experienced striker adapted very quickly here and did not wait for the result.
Shomurodov has been scoring goals regularly since the beginning of the championship. He managed to score goals against 14 of the 17 opposing teams in the Super League - Besiktas, Alanyaspor, Konyaspor, Galatasaray, Antalyaspor, Kocaelispor, Genclerbirligi, Trabzonspor, Kasimpasa, Samsunspor, Gaziantep, Fatih Karagumruk, Rizespor and Eyupspor. These statistics clearly demonstrate the striker's consistency and ability to find his way against opponents of different styles.
Now, there are only two teams left in the Turkish top division against which Eldor has not scored: Göztepe and Fenerbahçe. Our legionnaire will try to "close" his score against these same opponents in the second half of the championship. Kayserispor, on the other hand, is the only team that has not allowed Shomurodov to score in both matches of the championship.
The conclusion is the same: the race for goalscorers is heating up in Europe, but the sweet spot for us is the fact that the Uzbek striker is in the top 10. If Shomurodov keeps up this pace, we can safely talk about even higher places in this ranking by the end of the year.
