The first leg of the UEFA Champions League play-offs turned into a real goal festival. Galatasaray defeated Juventus 5-2 at home, gaining a huge advantage before the second leg.
The pace of the game was high from the very beginning: the hosts opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a goal from Sara, and the Turin team immediately responded in the 16th minute through Kopmeiners. The drama did not end there: in the 32nd minute, Kopmeiners once again hit the target, giving Juve hope. But Galatasaray did not leave anyone a chance to "collect themselves at half-time" tonight.
In the second half, the hosts opened up completely. Lang changed the score in the 49th minute, and in the 60th minute, Sanchez “stepped on the iron at an interesting moment” to consolidate his advantage. Most interestingly, in the 75th minute, Lang scored a double and, one might say, blew up the stadium. The final point of the match was scored by Boe in the 86th minute - 5:2.
One of the episodes that influenced the fate of the match occurred in the 67th minute: Kabal was sent off. After that, the situation for Juventus became even more difficult, and Galatasaray did not let up on the pressure.
Now all attention is focused on the return match. The second match will be held in Turin on the night of February 26. Juventus will look for a miracle at home, while Galatasaray will try not to lose the great victory in the first match. In short, the second series will definitely be “fun” - just be prepared for your nerves.
