In the 4th round of the Turkish Cup, "Bashakshehir" hosted "Trabzonspor" and lost 2:4 in a hard-fought, goal-scoring match.
The match kicked off with a very early goal: the visitors opened the scoring in the 6th minute. At the beginning of the second half, Nuno da Costa brought Bashakshehir back into the game, and in the 66th minute, Ivan Brnich put the hosts ahead. But after that, the game changed completely: Trabzonspor scored three more shots in the 70th, 84th, and 85th minutes, making a comeback and snatching the victory.
This game was also particularly interesting for Uzbek fans. Both Abbosbek Fayzullayev and Eldor Shomurodov were in the starting lineup for Bashakshehir, playing the full 90 minutes. Eldor was shown a yellow card for a foul in the 38th minute.
Another heavy blow for the hosts came in the 79th minute. Defender Ba received a straight red card, leaving his team one man down. It was after this episode that Bashakshehir's game derailed, and the guests took full advantage of it.
