Uzbek cyclists impressed at Asian Championship

Uzbekistan’s track cycling team continued its strong run at the Asian Championships in the Philippines, adding four more medals to its tally. The latest results brought one gold, one silver and two bronze medals, underlining the team’s consistency at continental level.

The gold medal came from Nafosat Koziyeva, who finished first in the women’s points race among senior athletes. Her victory gave the Uzbek team another major success and highlighted the squad’s ability to compete for top places against the region’s best riders.

In the junior Madison event, the duo of Ekaterina Makarochkina and Nadezhda Bartenyova secured the silver medal after a confident performance. Two more podium finishes followed in the junior points race, where Shoislom Shoakmalov and Gulhayo Sattorova each claimed bronze.

With these results, Uzbek cyclists are continuing to show stable form throughout the championship. Their performances in the Philippines once again confirmed the team’s high level of preparation and growing competitiveness on the international stage.
