Asian Championship in Ulaanbaatar: Uzbekistan once again demonstrated its strength

In the capital of Mongolia, the city of Ulaanbaatar, the prestigious Asian Boxing Championship among adults has come to an end. This competition, which gathered the best masters of leather gloves of the continent, as always, was full of tense and uncompromising bouts.

The men’s and women’s national teams of Uzbekistan who participated in this major sporting event achieved a worthy result. Our compatriots won a total of 11 medals, pleasing the fans. In particular, 3 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze medals were recorded for our country. This once again demonstrated that the team is stable and competitive.

According to the results, the representatives of Uzbekistan took 3rd place in the overall team standings. The first place went to the national team of Kazakhstan — they won 6 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze medals. The second place belongs to the team of India, who have 5 gold, 3 silver, and 8 bronze medals.

It is noteworthy that the Uzbekistan national team participated in this tournament not with the main squad, but with the second squad, yet still achieved a high result. This clearly showed how broad the boxing school is in our country and how strong the reserve is.

In short, this result is not a coincidence. Uzbek boxers have once again proven that they are one of the leading forces in Asia. If the second squad achieves such a result, it is not hard to imagine what will happen with the main squad — opponents should start preparing seriously in advance.
