Uzbekistan Taekwondo athletes finish Asian Championships with 11 medals

The Asian Taekwondo WT Championships for seniors in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, have concluded. In this competition featuring the continent's top athletes, the Uzbekistan national team achieved a strong result, securing a total of 11 medals.
The final day of the tournament was also productive for our representatives. Diyorbek Tukhliboyev, Jasur Jaysunov, and Madina Mirabzalova reached the finals in intense bouts, adding 3 silver medals to Uzbekistan's tally.
Competing in the -68 kg weight category, Diyorbek Tukhliboyev reached the final with confidence and earned a silver medal at the continental championship. His preparation, speed, and desire to win were evident in every fight.
Jasur Jaysunov, competing in the -80 kg weight class, also climbed to the second step of the podium. He fought valiantly against strong opponents and secured another valuable prize for our national team.
In the women's -57 kg category, Madina Mirabzalova also reached the final and became a silver medalist. Her result once again demonstrates the steady growth of women's taekwondo in Uzbekistan at the continental level.
Thus, the Uzbekistan national team finished the Asian Championships with 2 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals. A total of 11 medals is a testament to our team's preparation, the athletes' willpower, and the hard work of the coaching staff.
The tournament in Ulaanbaatar served as a great experience for our athletes. Every match tested not only technique and physical conditioning but also mental stability. The Uzbek taekwondo practitioners proved themselves worthy in these trials.
