The head coach of Bayern Munich, Vincent Kompany, shared his thoughts about the match against Real Madrid (4:3) after the game. He stated that the encounter was filled with high emotions and intense moments.
According to Kompany, the team had an advantage in ball possession and constantly felt that they could score at any moment:
“The game was very emotional. We controlled the ball a lot and constantly felt that we could score,” he said.
However, he separately emphasized that Real Madrid can never be considered an easy opponent. According to him, the Madrid side has very fast and dangerous players:
“But Real is still Real, they have very fast players who create danger,” he noted.
The coach also praised the team’s mentality. He highlighted that the players remained psychologically strong even in difficult situations and managed to get through tough moments. He also said that the support of the fans was an important factor in the victory:
“Our guys were mentally strong and managed to get through difficult situations. The fans also helped us a lot,” he said.
In Kompany’s opinion, Bayern Munich maintained calmness throughout the match and patiently waited for their opportunity. This approach ultimately delivered the result:
“We stayed calm and believed our moment would come. The players fully deserved this victory,” he said.
