Young Uzbek chess players return with medals from the World Championship

The youth national chess team of Uzbekistan has successfully returned home after competing in the World Rapid and Blitz Championships for ages 8 to 18, held in Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia.

At the Tashkent International Airport, they were met during the late hours in a warm and solemn atmosphere by Alisher Sadullaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Chess Federation, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Sport, the Tashkent City Administration, and the Youth Affairs Agency, alongside coaches and parents.

According to the tournament results, the young athletes achieved high standings, securing a total of 1 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals. This performance once again confirms the high potential and caliber of the Uzbek chess school.

These achievements are being hailed as a result of the hard work of the young chess players, the rigorous preparation by their coaches, and ongoing systemic support.
