Alisson Reaches Personal Terms Agreement with Juventus

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson could unexpectedly depart the club during the summer transfer window. According to information provided by transfer expert Matteo Moretto, the Brazilian shot-stopper has reached a verbal agreement with Italian side Juventus. This news came as a surprise to many, as the 33-year-old goalkeeper had extended his contract with the Merseyside club until 2027 in mid-March. Goal.com reports on the development.
It is reported that Liverpool management will analyze the goalkeeper situation in the coming weeks before making a final decision on whether to authorize Alisson's departure. Insider Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Turin-based club aims to sign a high-level goalkeeper this summer and considers Alisson the primary candidate. The player himself is reportedly not opposed to returning to the Italian championship, where he previously played for Roma between 2016 and 2018.

Out of respect for Liverpool, Alisson intends to first familiarize himself with the club's future plans. A meeting between the parties is expected soon to resolve who will serve as the first-choice goalkeeper next season. It is worth noting that the English club signed Georgian Giorgi Mamardashvili in 2024 as a potential successor to Alisson. Following a one-year loan at Valencia, the 25-year-old goalkeeper joined the squad last summer.
Currently, Alisson is unable to play due to a hamstring injury, which has allowed Mamardashvili the opportunity to prove himself in several matches. Since 2018, Alisson has made 332 appearances for Liverpool, winning both the Champions League and the Premier League. Meanwhile, Juventus is seeking a goalkeeper who can adequately fill the void left by the departure of Wojciech Szczęsny.
