Hope for the Bundesliga: Can a fifth spot emerge from the Champions League?

Following Atletico Madrid's defeat in the semi-finals, the Bundesliga now has a chance to secure a fifth spot in the Champions League. The Spanish club exited the tournament after a 0-1 loss to Arsenal on Tuesday. Rayo Vallecano is now the only remaining Spanish representative in the UEFA Europa Conference League. This is reported by Goal.com .
In the UEFA coefficient rankings, Germany trails Spain by 0.567 points. However, the German clubs' point-scoring system is more efficient because they have fewer total representatives. Germany participates in European competitions with seven teams, while Spain has eight, meaning each victory for German clubs carries more weight in the rankings.
If Bayern and Freiburg defeat their opponents and reach the final, Germany could secure an additional spot. For this to happen, Rayo Vallecano must be eliminated from the competition. Even if German teams lose in a penalty shootout, the point gap would narrow, keeping the chance for a fifth spot alive.
