PSG aims for history: Luis Enrique respects Arsenal

The current UEFA Champions League season is entering its decisive phase. After intense and uncompromising battles for a spot in the final, France's PSG and England's Arsenal have earned the right to compete for the trophy. PSG head coach Luis Enrique shared his thoughts ahead of the upcoming clash.
The Spanish specialist noted that this season has not been easy for his team. In particular, the draw results and opponents in the knockout stages have constantly put PSG to the test.
— I think we had the hardest path. But even so, the team showed character. Now we are playing in another final. This is a historic opportunity for the club, — said Enrique.
According to the coach, the major project started last season is now bearing fruit. He emphasized that PSG wants not only to win but also to provide unforgettable emotions to the club's fans.
Luis Enrique also spoke warmly about the upcoming opponent, Arsenal. He did not hide the fact that he has a long-standing relationship with London head coach Mikel Arteta.
— I have great respect for Arteta. We played together at Barcelona when he was still a young player. Today, he has built a strong and complete team. Arsenal has grown significantly in recent years, and it is no coincidence, — said Enrique.
At the same time, the experienced coach refrained from making a definitive statement about the favorite for the final. He said the decisive match will be very difficult, but PSG believes in its style of play and capabilities.
— It is clear it will be a difficult game. But we believe in our philosophy. No matter what happens, we will fight until the end, — the specialist added.
Recall that PSG defeated Germany's Bayern Munich in the semifinals on aggregate. The first leg in Paris ended 5-4, while the return leg saw a 1-1 draw. Arsenal eliminated Spain's Atletico Madrid from the competition.
Now, in the final match that the entire football world has been waiting for, two giant clubs will take the field for the European throne. This match will undoubtedly be fought not only for the trophy but also for history.
