Borussia Dortmund is trying to resolve the uncertainty surrounding its star striker Serhou Guirassy. According to Sky Sport, the 30-year-old player is unhappy with the team's playing style under Niko Kovac and is planning to leave the club during the summer transfer window. This is reported by Goal.com reports .
Although the player's contract includes a release clause of 40 million euros, giants like Real Madrid or Manchester City have not yet made an official offer. Currently, Milan, Fenerbahce, and Tottenham are showing interest in the player, but they still need to start negotiations with the Borussia Dortmund management.
The club's sporting director Ole Book has already met with the player. Lars Ricken and head coach Niko Kovac are also expected to participate in upcoming negotiations to convince Serhou Guirassy to stay. The Borussia Dortmund board values his skills highly and fears that finding a replacement would be costly.
As a reminder, since joining from VfB Stuttgart in 2024, Serhou Guirassy has made 45 appearances, scoring 21 goals and providing 6 assists. His current contract with the club runs until 2028.
