Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior shared his feelings after legendary Brazil forward Neymar was included in the 2026 World Cup squad. In an interview with CazeTV, Vinicius Junior emphasized that the 34-year-old forward's return was not easy. According to him, Neymar felt deeply depressed every time he was left out of the call-up list. "I spoke to Neymar during every training camp. He was always upset that Ancelotti wasn't calling him up. I comforted him by saying the coach believes in him and would definitely call him when the time was right," said Vinicius.
"Neymar is our gem; I have been following him since the beginning of his career. He has always protected and supported me. After so many injuries and suffering, I am very happy that he has returned to the national team and has one last chance with a great squad," added the Real Madrid forward.
Vinicius Junior also touched upon the team's young talent, Endrick. He said the 19-year-old player was very worried about whether he would go to the World Cup.
