Despite the fierce rivalry between the two South American giants, Vinicius Junior acknowledged the strength of Lionel Scaloni's team. In an interview with CazeTV, he stated: "I also include Argentina among the favorites because they are the reigning champions, they have great confidence, and they have Messi."
While the Argentina squad is well-balanced, Vinicius Junior highlighted the legendary captain. Even at 38, Messi remains the most feared player on the planet in the eyes of his opponents. The Brazilian forward noted how difficult it is to prepare against a player who can change the course of a game in an instant with movements that defenders cannot predict.
Speaking about facing the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner, Vinicius Junior added: "He always brings something different; we can never imagine what he might do."
