Uzbek judokas win gold in 6 weight classes at the Asian Cup

The Cadet and Junior Asian Cup Tashkent 2026 is in full swing at the Olympic Village in our capital. The first day of the youth Asian Open Cup was highly successful for the Uzbek judokas.
On the first day of this prestigious tournament, featuring over 600 athletes, winners were determined in 7 weight categories. Young Uzbek judokas proved their dominance on the tatami against their rivals.
At the end of the first day, the national anthem of Uzbekistan echoed through the arena six times. Our flag was raised repeatedly in honor of our athletes' victories, proving that our judo school holds a strong position on the continental stage.
In the men's -60 kg category, an all-Uzbek final and podium were recorded. Muhammadjon Masharipov won gold, Muhammadqodir Shodmonov took silver, while Dilshod Karimov and Arapbay Daurbayev claimed bronze medals.
In the -66 kg category, Amirxon Nizomaddinov surpassed all his opponents to take first place. Izzatbek Ro‘zimatov secured the silver medal, while Tajikistan's Habibullo Muhammadrofei and Yosin Bobokalonov took bronze.
Uzbek judokas also dominated the -73 kg category. Inoyat Telmanov won gold, Sanjarbek Ashurov silver, and Javlonbek Yusupov bronze. Another bronze went to Miras Issabayev from Kazakhstan.
Our female athletes also achieved high results. Dilrux Hasanova won the -48 kg category, with Zarina Jamalova taking second place and Mohinur Ollaberganova earning bronze.
In the -52 kg category, Sabina Azamatova claimed gold. Nargiza Do‘stmamatova won silver, and Saodat Qoraboyeva took bronze. In the -57 kg category, Mohinur Allaberganova and Ramajon Saparova won bronze medals.
Another all-Uzbek final was seen in the -63 kg category. Adina Abilhasimova took first place, Gulasal Oblokulova won silver, and Charosoy O‘ktamboyeva was awarded bronze.
In short, the first day of the Cadet and Junior Asian Cup Tashkent 2026 was brilliant for Uzbekistan judo. Six gold medals and numerous podium finishes show that our youth are ready for the big stage. Our judo reserve is strong, and the future is bright.
