Jose Mourinho returns to Real Madrid: Four positions to be strengthened

As Jose Mourinho prepares to take charge of Real Madrid for the second time, he has drawn up a plan for a major squad overhaul. The Portuguese manager has informed the board that four key positions must be strengthened immediately to end the club's two-year trophy drought. According to his request, new signings are mandatory for the center-back, right-back, left-back, and midfield positions. This is reported by Goal.com .
According to AS, Mourinho's top priority is a complete defensive overhaul. The 63-year-old coach has requested the signing of at least one or two high-level center-backs with leadership qualities to partner with Antonio Rüdiger. He believes that defensive instability is the root cause of the team's recent failures.
Significant changes are also expected on the flanks. A new player is being sought to compete with Trent Alexander-Arnold on the right, while the left-back transfer depends on the future of Fran Garcia. Mourinho considers the current defensive line too weak for his tactical system and aims to build a solid foundation.
The midfield will also undergo significant changes. The former Chelsea and Inter manager is demanding two different profiles: a defensive midfielder to provide cover and a creative playmaker capable of breaking down the opposition's defense. These additions should ensure the team dominates both in and out of possession.
Mourinho has set a condition for the board to bring in not just big-name stars, but "hungry" players willing to sacrifice for the team and give everything for victory. He wants to create a "warrior" atmosphere in the dressing room to resolve the issues seen during the Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa eras.
