Florentino Perez speaks openly about the 'Real' scandal

Discussions surrounding Real Madrid have intensified again. In recent days, rumors have spread about the atmosphere within the team, relationships in the dressing room, and disagreements between players. In particular, a conflict between Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni during training has fueled the debate.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez stated that he does not agree with the claims that the situation in the team has become critical. He emphasized that the atmosphere within the club is healthy and the relationships between the players remain as good as ever.
It has emerged that on Thursday, May 7, a verbal altercation occurred between midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni during a training session. It was later reported that the situation continued in the dressing room, the fight escalated, and as a result, the Uruguayan player suffered a head injury. It was reported that Valverde was hospitalized and both players were fined 500,000 euros.
Naturally, after such an incident, questions about the atmosphere inside Real Madrid have increased. Many began to express the opinion that the team no longer has its former unity, calm, and mutual trust. However, Florentino Perez strongly rejected this view.
When asked, 'There is a lot of talk that the atmosphere in the dressing room is not as healthy as it used to be, what do you think about this?', Perez emphasized that the situation within the team is good.
“But it is perfectly healthy. These are the boys you have always known, and they are all friends,” said the Real Madrid president.
In Perez's opinion, such tension during training should not be blown out of proportion. Competition, emotion, and hard tackling are natural in football. Especially in a club like Real Madrid, where the pressure is always high, every player strives to prove themselves, secure a spot in the starting lineup, and give their maximum on the pitch.
The club president sees the situation as a simple training episode. He says that if one player steps on another's foot or plays hard during training, there is no need to make a big problem out of it. Such situations occur in the football environment.
“But if one of them steps on another's foot during training and gets angry, we shouldn't blow it out of proportion,” Perez explained.
At the same time, he said the main problem is not the argument between the players, but that this information leaked out. According to Perez, making any situation that happens within the team public harms the club.
“Some say: 'The problem is they are fighting.' No, the problem is who is leaking the information,” he said.
It is clear from these words that the Real Madrid leadership is primarily unhappy that internal information is leaking out. Perez understands well that such situations can negatively affect the club's image, trust in the dressing room, and the environment around the team.
He even stated that the individuals who leaked the information within the team have already been identified. Perez described it with strong language, saying, “only a few rotten apples have been snitching on us.”
“The atmosphere is excellent. Only a few rotten apples have been snitching on us, but we have already identified them,” added the Real Madrid president.
This statement shows that the Madrid club takes the issue of discipline very seriously. For Real Madrid, the secret of the dressing room, internal unity, and trust in the leadership are very important. In big clubs, victories on the pitch often depend on the stability of the internal environment.
At the same time, Perez also answered a question about the future of Tchouaméni and Valverde. When asked if the two players would continue to play for the team, the president gave a short but clear answer.
“I think so,” Perez said in an interview with El Pais.
This answer means that the Real Madrid leadership does not see this situation as a serious threat to the players' future at the club. In other words, for Perez, this conflict is a situation to be resolved within the team, but not a problem of a level that would lead to parting ways with Valverde or Tchouaméni.
Of course, such events cause great discussion in any big club. In a team like Real Madrid, which is at the center of world football, it is natural that even every small episode becomes a big headline. But Perez's position is clear: the atmosphere in the team is good, the players are friends, and the main problem is the leaking of rumors.
Now the main task is to draw the right conclusions within the team without dragging this situation out too long. In clubs like Real Madrid, emotions, competition, and pressure are always high. But big teams are considered strong because they maintain internal unity in such moments.
Perez's words mean one thing to Real Madrid fans: the club leadership is in control of the situation and does not see this conflict as a crisis that will affect the team's general path. In Madrid, as always, the goal is one — to win on the pitch and maintain the club's reputation.
