AMD reveals names of upcoming processors
AMD has revealed the names of its upcoming processors, reported pepelac.news.
A newly updated list of AMD processors was found on the company’s technical information portal, originally restricted to internal access, but now considered officially confirmed.

The highlight is the appearance of three Gorgon Point APU variants — Gorgon Point 1, 2, and 3 — expected to succeed the Strix Point line and power next-gen Ryzen AI mobile chips.

Also new is the Medusa platform, built on Zen architecture and featuring FP10 capabilities — likely another AI-focused mobile development. The mysterious Soundwave project is also listed, though its purpose remains unclear.

For desktops, the list includes Gorgon Point for Ryzen 9000G, Grado for the AM5 socket, and a new Threadripper PRO under the codename Shimada Peak. The absence of standard Threadripper models may signal a pause or delay in the HEDT line.

A mobile EPYC solution named Range Strike also appears in the list. This suggests AMD is preparing a broad product lineup overhaul, possibly launching in 2025.
