Apple plans to unveil a glass and bezel-less iPhone in 2027!

The leading company in the tech world, Apple, is preparing for another revolutionary innovation. According to sources close to the company, Apple is planning to unveil a fully redesigned, bezel-less, all-glass smartphone in 2027 to mark the 20th anniversary of the iPhone series.

According to MacRumors, Apple is currently working actively on next-generation iPhone models. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman stated that in the anniversary model, all screen cutouts will be removed, and the Dynamic Island area will be significantly reduced. This is expected to be a major step for Apple toward a truly bezel-free design.

The flagship anniversary model will feature both a screen and body made of glass. With curved, rounded edges and ultra-thin bezels, this smartphone may be considered the most aesthetically refined device in Apple’s history.

Previously, The Information reported that iPhone 18 Pro models, expected in 2026, would include under-display Face ID technology. However, according to Gurman, the company has shifted away from this concept and now aims to eliminate screen interruptions by shrinking the Dynamic Island.

It is well known that Apple has a tradition of celebrating anniversaries with innovative devices. As a reminder, the company marked its 10-year milestone in 2017 by introducing the iPhone X, featuring Face ID and the now-famous “notch.” For the 20th anniversary in 2027, an even more dramatic design overhaul is anticipated.

According to Bloomberg, the idea for this model was originally inspired by Apple’s former chief designer, Jony Ive. At the time, he proposed a concept of a fully glass, seamless smartphone, and that dream may finally come true.

Experts note that due to its slim profile and glass materials, this type of device may evoke a sense of fragility in some users. Nevertheless, Apple is not planning to abandon its aesthetic vision and original design principles.
