Tokyo — The Japanese company Brainwave Trading Center offers to create unique paintings that depict a person's brainwave activity. This was reported by Pravilamag.
The company’s goal is to turn every person’s thoughts and emotions into a piece of modern art. To achieve this, the client must approach the company’s booth and wear a special brain-scanning device. The device reads brain activity in the form of waves, and a visual image is generated based on this data.
Interestingly, the participant not only receives the painting, but also earns 1,000 Japanese yen (approximately 500 rubles or 70,000 Uzbek soums). The company refers to this process as the “sale of consciousness waves.”
Brainwave Trading Center was established in 2022 by the art-innovation collective Konel. Their motto is: “We buy brainwave activity.”
According to the founders, the purpose of creating such artworks is to understand the value of information and explore new forms of transactions in a modern age where various types of data are unconsciously being traded.
Meanwhile, tech giant Google is preparing to begin human trials of a cancer drug developed with the help of artificial intelligence. This is another example of how data can be used for scientific, medical, and practical purposes. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
