Samsung is preparing to begin production of displays for the foldable iPhone, reported Rozetked.me.
Rumors of a foldable iPhone have circulated for years. According to Korea’s ETNews, Samsung is completing a dedicated production line in Korea exclusively for Apple. Mass production of foldable iPhone displays is expected to begin soon. The new line will have a capacity of 15 million 7-inch foldable OLED panels per year.
Apple's first foldable iPhone is expected to feature an inward-folding OLED display and will be introduced alongside the iPhone 18 series in 2026. Sources estimate that Apple aims to produce between 6 and 8 million units initially. Samsung Display has signed a two-year exclusive agreement with Apple as the sole supplier.
Rumored specs include a 4.5 mm thickness, a 7-inch iPad-style internal screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio, no visible crease, and Touch ID embedded in the side power button instead of Face ID. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
